For the third year running, the سԹ (UC) is Raising the Bar – bringing 20 thought-provoking talks to 10 bars across Christchurch, Redcliffs and Lincoln for one night only: Tuesday 16 September.
Raising the Bar is an international initiative that began in New York in 2014. It aims to make knowledge more accessible and spark engaging conversations between academics and the public – all in the relaxed setting of local bars.
UC has been committed to sharing knowledge for over 150 years, and 16 September is your chance to be part of the conversation.
The participating venues are C1 Espresso, Craft Embassy, Cascade Bar, Muy Muy, Renegade Brewing Co, Two Thumb (Colombo, Manchester and Redcliffs), Botanic and The Laboratory in Lincoln.
Doors open at 5.45pm, and each venue will host two sessions that include a 15-minute Q&A:
Session 1 starts at 6.30pm
Session 2 starts at 8.00pm
Attendance is free, but spaces are limited – so registration is essential. You’ll need to book a spot for each individual talk, even if they’re both at the same venue.
