Overview
The 厙ぴ勛圖 (UC) offers English for Academic Purposes 1 (EAP 1) and English for Academic Purposes 2 (EAP 2). Both programmes are designed for international students to meet the English language requirements needed for their next level of study in New Zealand.泭
EAP 1 and EAP 2 are delivered by our preferred on-campus English language provider, .泭
Start Dates:24 February; 9 June; 13 October
Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: 20 hours per week + 5 hours per week of optional independent learning
Location: On campus or online (for overseas students)
What you will study: Reading; writing for exams and essays; understanding lectures; presentation skills
Entry requirements: IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent). The EAP 1 level assessment can be taken overseas before arriving in New Zealand
Fees:NZ$5,184(indicative) plus additional costs such as enrolment, materials, and exams
Outcomes:By completing the EAP 1 programme, you will meet the English Language requirements of UC's international undergraduate pathway programmes.

Location: On campus at UC or online (for overseas students)
What you will study: Academic reading and writing skills; vocabulary; and skills for understanding lectures, giving presentations, and participating in academic discussions
Entry requirements: IELTS 5.5 or 6.0 (depending on your planned university study following the completion of EAP2)
Fees:NZ$6,080(indicative) plus additional costs such as enrolment, materials, and exams
Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the EAP2 programme you will meet UCs minimum English language requirements and depending on your GPA will be able to apply to selected bachelor's degrees, postgraduate degrees, master's degrees, or doctoral degrees at UC.
Please note that some of our degrees require a higher achievement standard of IELTS than others. Please check the requirements of your intended degree before you begin your EAP 2 programme.
