We aim to drive transformative change through research that empowers Māori communities and enriches mātauranga Māori. Through Research and Innovation, UC our team specialise in Te Ao Māori. To develop mutually beneficial research partnerships, advance Māori academic leadership, and enhance Research and Innovation, UC’s response to the Ministry of Business, Employment and Innovation and the Health Research Councils . We aim to align with the strategic direction of the University, the Research Committee, and Ngāi Tahu Research Centre (NTRC) while embodying the values and attributes of the سԹ:
Whanaungatanga: Fostering strong Māori relationships and working collaboratively with the NTRC to develop the Māori research community.
Manaakitanga: Showing care, respect, and hospitality in all our interactions. Supporting Māori as they navigate with researchers to reach their research goals and aspirations.
Tiakitanga: Promoting sustainable practices and guardianship of resources. Building capability for whānau, hapū and iwi in the research space.
